Mass Effect Andromeda

If you are a gamer like me, then you are eagerly awaiting the release of Bioware's next big game: Mass Effect Andromeda.

If you are not familiar with this game or company, then let me enlighten you. Bioware is a company that has created some of the most epic and engrossing games that are filled with characters that you will learn to love and loathe, worlds that you will want to live in if it were ever possible (despite the dangers taking place) and stories that keep you coming back for more.

Bioware spent a large amount of time developing and writing the Mass Effect series, and they are close to perfect games. IGN's lowest rating for the games (3 in total so far), is 9.0, which should tell you how great they are. These games are all about customization and choices, allowing the players to decide the personality, looks, class and general direction of the games. Each of your choices has an impact on the games, which are interconnected from one to three.

Within each game, you play a character named Commander Shepard. He/She (depending on your choice) is the last hope for humanity, and for the galaxy as a whole. Forces are rising that no one in the future ever expected, nor are they equipped to deal with. Despite alliances with various alien races, advanced technology and wondrous weapons/abilities, you are the thing standing between destruction and redemption of the entire known universe. Use your skills and your team to do the impossible, and save us all.

The last game, Mass Effect 3, was launched in 2012, and since that time fans have been patiently waiting for the next one to arrive. Finally, at E3 2015, the first trailer for the next Mass Effect was released and fans have been salivating at the footage that was given.

Writers have stated that the lead character will be human and that there will be new worlds and new characters to explore, and they are hoping it will be released sometime in 2016.

If the game is anything like the others, then it will be worth the long wait.

Until then, I suggest you pick up a copy if you haven't played and be prepared to join the Mass Effect family.
